Dreamlog: A Kiss

It has been over fourteen hours since my dream. It is slowly fading from my memory so I must type quickly.

We were in her place. Or mine. I'm not really sure which. It doesn't matter because we aren't together, not in that way, at least. We're friends. Good enough friends that we're at each other's places and it didn't feel like it was the first time.

We got hungry so we decided to get some food. I don't remember whose idea it was to go to the mall. I think it was hers.

Suddenly we're at the mall. I love how dreams quickly shift like that. There are a lot of people and she's suddenly very far ahead of me. As I board the escalator trying to catch up to her, I lose sight of her. She's quickly somewhere else and I've no idea where. As I reach the top of the escalator, she's no where to be found. With my backpack now swinging wildly in my hands, I think I spot her at a McDonalds (I think it's a McDonald's. It's a fast food joint, that's for sure). I go outside instead of heading for her.

She's driving an SUV, looking for me as I look for her.

I think I see her, in the SUV. Yeah it's her but she passes me by. I sit down on the pavement, dejected, sad, lonely. I toss my bag to the side.

She gets out of the SUV, kneels down. I look up at her. She says something, I don't remember what. I interrupt her with a kiss.

"I never thought I would ever do that. You don't know how long I've been waiting to kiss you."

"I know."

Quotation of the day

II: I get so many compliments from people. I don't need one from you.
BG: Your mom doesn't count.

Never Eat Lunch Alone

II on the phone with someone who's asking about her lunch plans:

II: I'm with Milica. Probably.
MM: Probably?
Me: *hysterical laughter*

Lunch seems to be a fun time for everyone in the office. All of us realize that that's really the only opportunity we have to getting to know people outside of our normal business interactions.

That's the only time I get to listen to people about their lives, their family, their interests.

Lunch is the best part of the day.

earrings red roses
white pearl necklace
each time I look deep in your eyes
You make me want to be better than I am
You make me feel that I am

nothing to be done
