Last I Heard You Were in FLA

iPod2 has nearly 200 songs yet the only thing on constant rotation is So Sick and it's female equivalent. Both songs are by Ne-Yo, if you can trust the internet. For the past four days that's the only thing I listen to at work. During the bus ride there and back again iPod1 provides some rocky and familiar beats but somehow at the end of the day I return to those two songs.

JJ, wherever you might be, goodbye, and I'm sorry.

"You say you love me, why ain't you here?"

I'm really, really sorry.

I'm Going To Ask You Out

"Listen to me for a minute... I've been thinking, something I do too much. I like you. I like you a lot. And I'd like to get to know you better outside of work. I'd like to ask you out. Soon. But here's the rub: I don't know if you like me. And I don't know how comfortable you'd be seeing someone from work. But I had to do it. I had to ask. We have to know. Know this: I'm going to ask you out soon. Dinner. A show. Coffee. The works. And I'm not going to take no for an answer. Think about it. So will I.

"And one more thing. I'm not Street Boy. I know your name. I'm talking to you. I'm looking at your gorgeous brown eyes. And I'm asking you out."

I never did get to say the whole thing. My heart was crushed before I could.
